Chinese Ambassador Lin Xianjiang presents credentials to Dominican President

On November 22, 2021, H.E. Lin Xianjiang, new Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, presented credentials to H.E. Charles Savarin, the President of Dominica. The two sides held an amicable exchange.

Ambassador Lin Xianjiang conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from President Xi Jinping to President Savarin, saying that Dominica is an important cooperation partner and one of China’s best friends in the Caribbean. With the personal commitment and guidance of the leaders of both countries, China and Dominica have built up political mutual trust, carried out fruitful cooperation, and extended support to each other in international affairs. China attaches great importance to the development of China-Dominica relations and stands ready to work with Dominica to elevate bilateral relations to a new height. Ambassador Lin said it is a great honor to be the Sixth Chinese Ambassador to Dominica and he will exert his utmost efforts to further advance the relations between the two countries and enhance the friendship between the peoples.

President Savarin askes Ambassador Lin to convey his warm greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping and welcomed Ambassador Lin to his new post. The President said China is the most dependable and reliable friend of Dominica and offers immeasurable support in infrastructure, education, health, agriculture and trade. The President reiterated Dominica's firm support of the one China policy and of peaceful reunification of China. He also pledged to maintain close coordination with China on international issues and make joint efforts to tackle climate change and COVID-19 pandemic challenges.

Ambassador Lin arrived in Dominica on October 29 to assume his post, and presented copy of credentials to Foreign Minister Kenneth Darroux on November 16.
